The Shortlist for the IMPAC Dublin Literary Award has been announced. Its a refreshing and I find, inspiring shortlist this year. The final eight also include two translated works. My translation of Ariella Kornmehl’s The butterfly month didn’t make the shortlist but then neither did Coetzee, Llosa, Ondaatje, Lessing, McEwan, Rankin, Winterson…. the list goes [...]
